The track of Hurricane Florence has shifted just a bit towards the South and West over the last several hours. A huge concern as of now is that once Florence nears land, it will slow down and stall out a bit which will increase the flooding and storm surge potential of this storm. Sections of the North Carolina coastline will have a surge of 9-13 feet, which will be very impactful and unfortunately very life threatening. The freshwater flooding with Florence could be unprecedented with locally up to 40 inches of rainfall. Please stay safe and stay updated during this historic weather event.
