Severe Thunderstorm Threat, Including a Few Tornadoes, Spreads from the Southern Plains and Midwest

Severe thunderstorms which may include tornadoes will spread from the deep South into the Plains, and even into the Northeast for today. The most severe storms will likely be in Iowa for today into tonight. Southern New England has a threat for severe storms with lightning and strong winds for both today and tomorrow.
