A late week coastal storm in the Northeast could be the strongest storm since the bomb cyclone on January 4th. Most of southern New England will see all rain from this event, while farther inland there will be an icy mix and even accumulating snow over interior sections of the Northeast. The coastline will see the highest winds, so coastal flooding will be a high impact from this storm which will be so long lasting. At the coastline winds could gust from 50 to 65 MPH, and the seas offshore could build to 20-30 feet, so coastal erosion will also be a significant impact from this as well.
