Winter storm Dylan will spread a wintry mess into the Northeast from Friday into Saturday. Most areas will see some snow before changing over to freezing rain, and then eventually all rain by Saturday afternoon. The freezing rain and ice will be a big concern over interior sections of the region where the colder air is more persistent, and the ground temperature is below freezing while rain is falling. Ice accumulations of a quarter of an inch or just slightly more, are a likelihood with this storm as well. Happy holidays to everyone, and safe travels to those who are going to be traveling this weekend.
