Slowly brewing Tropical Storm to raise surf, downpours on US East Coast

An area of tropical moisture continues to get better organized and may become a tropical storm later today. The heaviest rains from this will be from North Carolina up to the southern tip of New Jersey. Cape cod will have rough surf and high winds from this system as it passes just to the south and the Cape may also get into some steadier rain later on tonight.
