pattern change to bring colder temps to the East

A pattern change is coming this final week of January. it will bring colder temps to much of the East while the West will be much milder and drier than normal. that is a relief from all of the precipitation that they have been getting out there. this change will hopefully bring more snowstorms to the northeast into February and maybe even the first part of March. here is a link to a video about the pattern change -- https://weather.com/forecast/national/news/pattern-change-winter-northeast-midwest-west-late-january-2017
